Charlotte SEO and AI search optimization, built to get you found.
Your customers search on Google and inside AI tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. I help Charlotte businesses show up in both: SEO for rankings, GEO (generative engine optimization) for AI answers.
Search changed. Most Charlotte websites haven’t caught up.
More searches now end without a click. Ranking still matters, and so does being the source the answer is pulled from. I work on both at once.
GEO, done with a checklist
Pages structured so AI tools can read, trust, and quote them. The method is public in my GEO checklist.
Technical SEO that holds up
Speed, crawlability, schema, and clean structure. The groundwork that decides whether Google and AI crawlers can rank you at all.
Local SEO for Charlotte
Business Profile, citations, reviews, and real area pages. How you win the map pack when someone nearby searches. See the local SEO service.
One person, no handoffs
You work with me directly, from audit to reporting. Nothing gets lost between an account manager and whoever does the work.
Three kinds of search visibility, handled together.
SEO, local SEO, and GEO overlap more than they differ. Here is how each one breaks down.
01Technical and on-page SEO
Google has to crawl, render, and understand your site before any content work pays off. I fix what is broken and rebuild pages around the searches your customers actually make.
- Crawl, indexing, and Core Web Vitals fixes
- Keyword and search-intent research
- Title tags, headings, internal links, and page copy
- Schema markup for rich results
02Local SEO for Charlotte
The map pack runs on its own signals: your Business Profile, your reviews, and whether your name, address, and phone match everywhere online. I tune each one.
- Google Business Profile setup and optimization
- Citation cleanup across directories
- Review strategy and response templates
- Neighborhood and service-area pages
03GEO: optimization for AI search
GEO shapes your content so AI systems understand your business well enough to recommend it. Direct answers up top, question-led headings, named sources, and things only you could say.
- AI visibility audit: how ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews describe you today
- Answer-first page structure and question-led headings
- FAQ, Organization, Service, and Person schema
- Crawler access checks for AI bots
A clear path from invisible to found.
Audit
Site health, rankings, local presence, and how AI tools describe you today. You get a short written list of what is holding you back, in order of impact.
Strategy
The keywords and questions your customers use, mapped to pages, ordered by how soon each one can produce results.
Optimize
Technical fixes first, then on-page work, schema, local profile improvements, and new content written to rank and to be quoted.
Track and grow
Monthly reporting on rankings, traffic, leads, and AI mentions. Each month builds on the last.
Two goals, one set of work.
AI answer engines lean on the same signals Google has rewarded for years. A page that ranks well is already most of the way to being cited.
SEO
Goal: rank on Google- Depth across a topic: pillar pages plus supporting posts
- Fast, crawlable, mobile-friendly site
- Strong Business Profile and reviews for local results
- Links and mentions from credible sites
GEO
Goal: get cited in AI answers- The answer stated plainly in the first few lines
- Headings written as the questions people ask
- Named sources, real numbers, first-hand experience
- FAQ sections with matching schema markup
Both depend on a site that can carry them. If yours is slow or hard to update, I will say so first (see why your website is your first impression), and my Charlotte web design service fixes it.
Everything it takes to climb the results.
- Full technical SEO audit with prioritized fixes
- Keyword and search-intent research mapped to pages
- On-page optimization and content rewrites
- Schema markup for rich results and AI answers
- Google Business Profile optimization
- Local citation cleanup and service-area pages
- AI visibility audit and GEO page structure
- Monthly reporting on rankings, traffic, and AI mentions

Charlotte SEO and GEO FAQs
What is the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO (search engine optimization) gets you ranked in Google’s results and map pack. GEO (generative engine optimization) gets your business recommended by AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity. They share most of the same foundations (Google says so too), so I handle both in one engagement.
How long does SEO take to show results in Charlotte?
Local fixes such as a cleaned-up Google Business Profile can move within a few weeks. Organic rankings for competitive terms usually take three to six months to show meaningful change, then keep improving as the work compounds.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Rankings depend on hundreds of factors, including what your competitors do next. What I commit to is the work that reliably earns rankings, and plain monthly reporting so you can see the progress.
How do you measure AI search visibility?
I run a set of real customer questions through ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews each month and record whether your business is mentioned or cited. I also track referral traffic from AI tools in your analytics, so you can see when mentions turn into visits.
Do I need a new website before starting SEO?
Usually not. Most of my SEO work happens on sites that already exist. If yours is slow, hard to edit, or built in a way that blocks search engines, I will tell you early and we can decide together whether a rebuild makes more sense.
Do you work with businesses outside Charlotte?
Yes. I am based in Charlotte and most of my clients are in the Carolinas, but the work is done remotely and applies anywhere. Local SEO simply targets your city instead.
